DAY #1 AT LOS LIMONES--11/10/08

Here is our translator (Ilse) coaxing some of the kids to join us. Since we were outdoors, at about 2 p.m., Pastor Jasinto would blast our music, and the kids would know it was time for the VBS to begin.
And heeerrreee they come!
This brave little guy (with no drawers?!) showed up all by himself. At first we thought he was looking for a brother or sister, but he was all by himself.
Here is Pastor Jasinto, his wife, and other helpers working SO hard to teach the kids the songs. These are definitely new believers, and he started out the session with a prayer and explained to the kids how to fold their hands, close their eyes, etc. He explained to whom they are praying, why they should pray, how often they should pray, etc. He is amazingly patient and is SO good with the kids. Resurrection has started a mission to the kids at Los Limones, so some of them already knew Pastor Jasinto.
It is difficult to see in this picture, but we are in the front yard of a lady whose house was built by CALMS (Central American Lutheran Mission Society).
