All age levels enjoyed making one of these "scratch" crosses (from Oriental Trading, by the way) where you use a little wooden pencil type thing to scratch a design onto the cross. My motto is that the kids can never have too many crosses! They serve as a great reminder of Christ's sacrifice! The kids really enjoyed these -- fast, easy, unusual.
The last picture in this group is of Mayra. She very excitedly told me that she goes home every day and hangs up her coloring pages and little projects we have been doing. I told her that crafts and coloring are fun, but the most important thing is that they remind us of the Bible stories we have studied. I told her to be sure to share those stories with her family and friends, and she said she is already doing that. What a great kid!
