Cheryl and I enjoyed working with the older kids who ranged in age from around 11-14. There were some really, really nice kids in the group.
Here we all are on the last day. We started out with 24 kids on the first day and had 31 by Friday. I taught the class in Spanish and had planned activities of a little more serious nature, just because we figured these kids were capable of that. They read from the Bible and answered questions and did a very good job.
We tried to have a wide variety of activities. Here's Ricardo showing off some of his rock painting efforts. They LOVED the rock painting, even though when we opened up the paints they were as hard as a rock!
They made bracelets, decorated paper butterflies, and decorated little notebooks that Cheryl had made. We were pleasantly surprised that even the guys enjoyed taking part in these activities.
